When Erina walked into our office, we thought she had passed by to say hello …. Erina was introduced to us by Hon Ruhunda Alex, as a lady he met while doing his community outreaches with the aim to educate people on the need to study IT Courses. Erina proudly showing off her snacks for sale. Erina said that she wanted to take an Artisan Course and in particular, she wanted to learn how to make snacks and bake cakes so that she too could sell her snacks, money from which, earn a living and support her family. Speaking at the inauguration of the project yesterday at the Bridge Institute of Information Technology in Fort Portal, MTN Uganda’s CEO, Sylvia Mulinge, said the company was committed to supporting the city authorities with the necessary technologies to realize their vision for a digitally empowered future, whose majority population are youth, and netizens.
