When you meet Fatuma Shakilah, you quickly realize she’s not just another student ticking boxes in her coursework … she’s a young woman on a mission to transform how communities experience technology. Currently pursuing a National Certificate in Information Communication Technology at the Bridge Institute of Information Technology, Fatuma’s story is one of curiosity, courage, and growth.

A Spark of Inspiration

Fatuma’s fascination with ICT began with a simple observation: “computers make life easier“. From helping businesses communicate to storing information and streamlining work, she saw technology as a powerful tool for solving everyday problems.
